Civil Law

Civil law unlike criminal law is the type of law between individuals or organizations. I am in a business law class this semester. I have learned more about the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and other fundamental rights I have as an American citizen. I have learned about the importance of the Fifth Amendment and the 14th Amendment.

If people don’t know the laws, which protect them how can they protect themselves. Many times situations happen where people think they can do nothing. For example if there is a federal or state problem against an individual, it is vital citizens know their rights.

The best part about being an American is we have a democratic type of government. This basically means we are a government governed by the people. We decide who we want in positions of authority and who we don’t want. If we don’t want someone for mayor, all we have to do is campaign for another guy. Living in America is awesome. It is just necessary that people begin to know ther rights so they can exercise them.
